Horses & Healing Program

An onsite and mobile equine healing program by Black Cowboy Coalition

Serving seniors, individuals with disabilities, youth, and anyone in need of connection and healing through horses, and other animals.

To bring the healing power of horses to individuals and communities in need — right to their doorstep. Whether for emotional support, physical rehabilitation, companionship, or joyful interaction, our mobile equine services offer safe, guided, and enriching experiences with our specially trained therapy horses.

Horse-Guided Healing

Individual or small group sessions focused on emotional support, personal growth, and peaceful connection with horses. Great for those seeking stress relief, confidence building, or emotional clarity.

Mini Horse Visit

(for groups)

Miniature horses for interactive visits to senior homes, schools, hospitals, community events, etc.. Great for engagement, joy, and connection.

Gentle Groom & Bond

A calming session focused on brushing, light walking, and connecting with the horse through touch and presence. Ideal for seniors or individuals with limited mobility.

Puppy Playtime Visit

We bring friendly, gentle puppies for interactive visits with individuals or small groups. Sessions include petting, light play, cuddling, and connection. Ideal for seniors, youth, or anyone who finds joy in animal interaction.

Equine Life Skills & Interactions

Learn to communicate with and care for horses while developing patience, leadership, and emotional regulation. Especially beneficial for youth, individuals with disabilities, and community groups.

Pop-Up Barn Experience

We create a portable “barn” experience at your location with guided horse interaction, grooming, and storytelling. Perfect for youth programs or special events.

Custom Healing Journey Package

A personalized series of visits for individuals or organizations seeking ongoing support and connection.

Group Puppy Session

Perfect for events, assisted living centers, schools, or corporate wellness days. Includes multiple puppies, enrichment activities, and guided engagement.

Travel & Transportation

 We are proud to offer mobile equine healing services that come directly to you. To help cover the cost of

fuel, animal care, and staff time, the following transportation fees apply:

  •           Flat Fee (within 20 miles of our home base): $35
     

  •          Additional Mileage (beyond 20 miles): $1.25 per mile (one way)
     

Mileage is calculated from Houston, TX / 77583. Discounts or waivers may be available for

community-based  programs or multiple bookings in the same area.

​Because we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no one is turned away for lack of funds. We offer:

  • Sliding scale based on income
     

  • Grants and sponsorships for schools or senior facilities
     

  • Donation-based services for underserved communities
     

Note: All services are eligible for tax-deductible sponsorships and in-kind donations.

​​All services are offered at or below fair market value, in line with 501(c)(3) requirements.
 

  • Staff and facilitators are certified or trained in equine-assisted services.
     

  • Compensation follows IRS guidelines for reasonable nonprofit compensation.
     

All participants must complete waiver and intake forms before engaging with animals.
